About the Center

The Yad LaYeled HaMeyuchad – "Lend a Hand to the Special Child" – Regesh Treatment Center in Beit Dagan was established in 2010 with the goal of providing para-medical services at subsidized prices to children with special needs from disadvantaged families. (Regesh means in Hebrew emotion.)

The Regesh Treatment Center is located in Beit Dagan in central Israel. It is a quiet, out-of-the-way neighborhood, with a spacious courtyard, in order to create a homey, warm feeling and to allow the children to easily connect with the center and its staff.

The center consists of three treatment rooms: The Snoezelen room, a music room and a therapeutic garden with ananimal petting section.

Most of the treated children live at home and arrive at the center at the end of the school day, when they are assisted to advance more quickly, according to their individual needs.

The children’s parents also receive a variety of services: guidance, personal and family support, information lectures, referrals to medical professionals and social services offered by the community, support groups lead by professionals and more.

At the beginning of 2014 the Regesh Treatment Center provided 500 treatments for children a month, 90% of which were individual treatments. The other treatments were group treatments.
