Occupational therapy is a para-medical rehabilitative-educational discipline focusing on engaging the patient in tasks which will improve the patient's physical, congnitive and mental functioning, thus improving the overall health, integration in the community and quality of life.

The occupational therapy offered at the Regesh Treatment Center of Yad Layeled HaMeyuchad – "Lend a Hand to the Special Child" – helps people with physical, mental, congnitive and communicative dysfunctions to lead an independent life as much as possible within their families and communities.

Occupational therapy draws its sources and knowledge from occupational sciences, medical sciences and social and behavioural sciences.
